The 2014 Fall Rivalry Fitness Challenge will visit 40 schools across the nation. The goal of the program is to promote physical and mental fitness for all student.
This week the challenge is taking place at Rock Hill and Northwestern High Schools in Rock Hill, S.C.
Throughout the day, as groups of students entered the gym for their physical education classes, they were divided into two groups. One started the physical challenge which includes times tests of sit-ups, shuttle run, chin-ups, push-ups, and jumping jacks.
The second group began the mental challenge where students were asked to complete as many ACT and SAT prep questions within the allotted time.
Earlier in Octobert the challenge took place at Pisgah High School in Canton, N.C. and Tuscola High School in Waynesville, N.C.
