Spc. Shanna Ngha is home in Shelby, N.C., telling others about her Army training. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from North Carolina Central in Durham, N.C., but she is now wants a master degree. She decided joining the Army was the way to pay for her next degree but it will also give her job skills. She has completed her training and will be heading to her first duty assignment as a Field Artillery Specialist in at Ft. Sill, Okla.
Ngha has
been talking to old friends who her training and giving tips to new people she
has met. She hopes to help others with their goals and is excited for her first
Army job. If all goes as planned, she is considering staying in the Army and
becoming an officer.
Ngha is part of the Hometown Recruiter Assistance Program (HRAP) which allows Soldiers who have recently completed Advanced Individual Training to return to their hometowns to assist the local recruiters by sharing their Army training experiences with family, friends, high school classmates, Future Soldiers, veterans, and community leaders.
