Ft. Jackson Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) commander
Maj. Stacey Nichols reinstated the award program for the employees. He wanted
to recognize all the hard work his people accomplish to enlist members into the
Armed Services.
Robert Dupree, Army Guidance Counselor, received Liaison of
the Month Award for the month of February 2014. MEPS Liaisons verify enlistment
paperwork and complete the final processing of Army Future Soldiers, Sailors,
Marines, and Coast Guard enlistees. A retired Army Recruiter and thirteen year MEPS
employee, Dupree has a lot of experience doing the Army liaison job. When asked
about the award, Dupree modestly said, “I’m enjoying the new parking spot for
the month.”
The award includes a front row parking space so the winner
is ten steps to the front door which was a big perk with the exceptionally cold
South Carolina winter this year. Congratulation Dupree for your hard work and
dedication in helping get our Future Soldiers processed into the U.S. Army.
