Asheville Recruiting Company Future Soldiers and Families Event
What: Information brief and opportunity to meet representatives of organizations which serve the military
Who: Future Soldiers and family, friends, significant others, etc.
When: August 4, 2012 (Saturday) from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Where: Pack Square Memorial Library basement auditorium; 67 Haywood Street, downtown Asheville, NC 28801
Why: Reengage and reassure commitment from Future Military and their family members by answering questions and concerns
This "Get to Know You" event is for any new military members (soon to leave for Boot Camp or having just completed training) and their parents, spouses, friends, etc. to learn about military benefits, Red Cross, local support groups and the Army Strong Community Center (ASCC).
“The themes of 'Readiness and Well-being' for military members and their families are what guides the day-to-day activities of the Army Strong Community Center, serving all military branches, Active, Reserve and Guard, in Western N.C.,” said Sue Bennett, ASCC Customer Support Coordinator.

This meeting is an excellent time for all soldiers, families and friends to ask any and all questions. Dress is casual; Soldiers’ uniform is polo shirt and khaki shorts/pants or ACUs.
